Our Mission
It is the mission of Catholic & Community Credit Union to focus solely on serving our members and to provide the best possible loan and saving rates in a friendly and professional manner.

Each member of this organization is an owner, and the money contributed to credit union accounts helps to support all members and their financial goals. Because of this cooperative, not-for-profit structure, credit union members enjoy savings at a good rate of return. Additionally, collective monies are used to extend loans to qualified members at competitively low interest rates. By saving, investing and borrowing as a group, each independent member of C&CCU has the opportunity to achieve greater financial stability and success.

Our Members
The credit union serves anyone living or working in St. Clair, Madison and Monroe Counties. Catholic & Community Credit Union encourages family members to join, as well. Your siblings, spouse, parents, grandparents and children are all eligible to enjoy the financial security of credit union membership.

To become a member, you must complete a membership card, pay a non-refundable $1 entrance fee and deposit at least $25 (one share) into a Share Savings Account. This $25 share must remain in the account for as long as you are a member of the credit union.

Once you are a member of C&CCU, you’re immediately eligible for all the financial services the credit union has to offer. Also, once you become a member, you remain so for life by keeping one share in your account.

Our Safety
Since 1970, credit unions have been federally insured through the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund (NCUSIF), an arm of the National Credit Union Administration. The United States government backs this fund with full faith and credit, just as it does the FDIC. That means that your finances are insured for up to $250,000 per depositor, with an additional coverage of up to $250,000 for other types of accounts, such as IRAs.

To further protect your money and the resources of the credit union, Catholic & Community Credit Union maintains a responsible lending policy. We extend loans only to qualified borrowers and will not put your funds at risk with sub-prime lending. In short, your shares are safe with us.

Catholic & Community Credit Union is committed to protecting the privacy of our members. In general, you can visit us on the World Wide Web without disclosing to us who you are or revealing any information about yourself. There are several areas, however, that will collect certain information about you. We want you to know how we handle that information.

If you visit our website, C&CCU collects and stores information on the domain you use to access our website, the Internet address of the site from which you linked directly to the site and the date and time of your visit. This information is used to measure the number of visitors to the various pages on our site to better serve our membership.

If you send an e-mail, C&CCU collects and stores personally-identifying information in order to process your e-mail, form or application. This information is not sold to any third parties. Due to the volume of e-mail activity, these messages are deleted after they are answered.

If you visit a secure site, such as home banking, you will be asked for personal identification numbers which will give you access to the member-only section of our website. This information enables C&CCU to regulate entry to the member-only portions of our website and to measure member usage. Any identifying information gathered is not sold to third parties.

If you link to another site from any of our pages, you are leaving our site pages, and we cannot be held responsible for any information that may be gathered at a linked site. We make every effort however, to ensure that all linked sites follow similar privacy policies as ours to offer you maximum security and privacy.

Your accessible account information is stored on a dedicated home banking database server, which responds only to authenticated requests from our Web server.
We use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption and digital certificate server authentication.
All Internet data mechanisms have been custom-designed around the best practices and configured with the latest recommended security configurations.
One-way password encryption in the Web home banking database means nobody can extract your password, not even the credit union or our Web system administrators.
You can change your password within our home banking site as often as you like.
Our Web home banking database server does not contain identifying information such as names, addresses or social security numbers anywhere within the system.
Personal forms you submit, such as loan applications, are completed under SSL (encryption and server authentication) by you and retrieved by us under SSL.
